Chamonix, the city of mountain resorts, and Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the European Alps
Chamonix, the town at the foot of Mont Blanc, is a beautiful city with an atmosphere of pretty houses. It is famous as a mountain resort and is crowded all year round.
You can easily climb the mountain while enjoying the scenery on the cable car to the Aiguille du Midi Observatory at an altitude of 3842m. From the observatory at the top, you can see the silver-white Mont Blanc and the beautiful mountains over 4000m, and below you can see the streets of Chamonix as they are in European picture books, and you can enjoy a wonderful view whether you look up or down.

Mer de Glace
Board the charming red cog railway up to Montenvers, you’ll enjoy fabulous views of Mer de Glace
This magnificent glacier is 4 miles (7km) long and averages just under a mile wide. Surrounded by the
impressive summits of Les Drus, Les Grandes Jorasses and Les Grands Charmoz, The Montenvers site
is a natural living witness of climate change of our era.
