The Shiratani Unsuikyou Ravine spans 424 hectares across the forest and is around 600 - 1,300m above sea level. The forest is covered in green, unique ground plants like ferns and mosses, and visiting allows for travelers to experience and savor the superb world where Yakusugi cedar trees and laurel forests grow together. Within the Shiratani Unsuikyou Ravine are three maintained courses -each with differing required course time, and the most popular of the courses being the "Taikoiwa Rock Course" which requires approximatly four hours of hiking time. Weather permitting, the Taikoiwa Rock is a great place for visitors to have a view of the surrounding massive granite rocks and enjoy a breathtaking overview of the Yakushima Island's forests.

 

It is said that Yakushima’s river flow continuously and it is clear and transparent. Yakushima has over 140 rivers. The river activity season in Yakushima is from April to October. You can enjoy river kayaking, shower climbing, and stand up paddling. Also, spending time on a riverbank is a good place to relax, to read a book, or just enjoy the day.

**Our Countermeasures Against the spread of COVID-19**

We are thoroughly taking countermeasures against the coronavirus under the below.
1. Before starting the tour, we will disinfect the inside of the vihicle.
1. Driver and guide are encouraged to wash their hands, gargle, and thoroughly manage their physical condition.
1. Driver and guide wear a mask during the tour.
1. We frequently ventilate in the vehicle.

**Our Requests for our Guests**
1. To prevent infectious diseases, some facilities cannot be entered without wearing a mask.
    Please wear a mask in advance and participate in the tour.
1. Please wear a mask and refraing from eating, drinking and talking in a loud voice in the vehicle.
1. We will always replace the air in the vehicle during tour.
1. Please kindly take all the garbage with you in the vehicle to prevent the infection of the driver and guide.
1. Please arrive at the meeting spot in time.
1. Please notice that might be crowded in sightseeing spots during weekends, holidays and events.
1. In case of traffic congestion or any other uncontrollable reasons,
    please note that changes of schedule or time shortened in each of sightseeing spots.
1. No refunds will be issued in case the customer doesn't show up at the meeting spot on time.
1. We will full refund in case the tour is cancelled due to extreme situations such as typhoons and other natural disasters. 1. As it is stipulated by the law of Japan, please wear your seat belt on the tour bus.
1. No smoking inside the vehicle.
1. Please do not stand up or walk while the vihicle is running.
1. All items left in the vihicle will be disposed by our company.
1. Please kindly manage your valuable belongings by yourself."

 

This is a private tour. Only your group will participate. You can customize it as you like. If you have any requests please let us know in advance. If you want to change your schedule even on the tour day, your guide is always happy to help you. You can skip the spot where you don't go (※in this case we do not refund any fees) or change it with another place. If you add some new spots by your request, please pay the ticket fee on the spot. (Note that you may need to pay extra transportation fee)
